Julie worked on a range of national, EU and international policy issues, including regulatory finance, UK energy policy, international forestry and EU chemicals regulation for two decades. She ran a small NGO in Costa Rica reforesting a river watershed with the community and now writes about issues relating to the degradation of the natural environment. She has established a wildlife garden and an organic allotment, and advocates for ecological restoration in the South Downs.
