Read moreMary Parker has a long-standing passion for the Sussex countryside. A keen rider from an early age, she now chairs the Mid Sussex Area Bridleways Group, which she founded in 1978. After a spell as an air hostess, she studied physical geography and environmental management at Sussex University and London. Now retired, and with three grandchildren, she finds time to sail, kayak and record species for the Sussex Biological Record Centre. More recently she has raised concerns over threats to the environment over a proposed 3,000 homes development at East Chiltington.
